NOTICE OF OVERNIGHT CONSTRUCTION / NORTHBOUND DETOUR ON I-75

Beginning on Saturday, August 24 and continuing through early September 2024, an overnight detour of northbound traffic on I-75 will be implemented as the contractor begins placing structural steel girders for construction of the bridge over the northbound lanes. Motorists traveling northbound on I-75 will be directed to exit at SR 70 and east on SR 70 to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Motorists will then be directed north on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard to SR 64 and west on SR 64 to access northbound I-75. The detour will be in effect between the hours of 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 24 and 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, and will continue nightly between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. through early September 2024 (weather permitting). FDOT and Manatee County have worked together to coordinate signal timing during the overnight detours.
