Beginning on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, a temporary closure was put in place at the intersection of 44th Avenue East and 51st Street East while the contractor installs the new water main system. During this time, a detour route will be in place for motorists traveling eastbound and westbound on 44th Avenue East or southbound and northbound on 51st Street East (please view map below). Residents located on 51st Street East, south of the intersection, will have access to their properties via a new section of roadway that connects to 44th Avenue East. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of May 2023, weather permitting.
